Thank you, I had just seen your post.
While it appears that the cost of immigration is 150B
to taxpayers, they are not counting the gifts to
corporations that
1. Get a steady stream of employees
2. Undervalue those same employees
3. Keep wages down for ALL employees based on the
comfortable supply.
4. Keep hours down so no benefits are paid
Those are *tremendously advantageous* gifts to
corporations, who so often pay NO taxes to recompense
the government, what would happen to the fast food
industry if they had to pay a living wage to employees?
To farmers? To our still cheap food processing? To day
care? Nursing homes? Any restaurant? Janitorial? They
would fold, and they know it.
Notice how you don't hear corporations clambering to
raise the minimum wage (still at $7.25 in my state,
1/100th of cost of an apartment). This economy, this
corporate dream, runs on debt and slavery.
Take the Jenga piece of immigration out and it all
comes tumbling down.
And this country, as flawed as it is, is still worth
risking your life, as too many immigrants prove.

In 2024, the minimum wage in Washington is $16.28 per
hour. (and, btw, that STILL isn't high enough to be
able to live in our state).
But here is my question about this - true, immigrants
make up a huge part of the labor force for much of the
service industry. WHO is going to do these jobs - that
- hate to say this - many feel are beneath them OR then
do not want to do manual labor - especially teens.
Honestly, how many caucasians do you see doing
housecleaning? Around the greater King County WA, 95%
of all are immigrants. Nursing homes - ditto.
Janitorial services for business/hospitals - ditto.
Why are not caucasians applying for these jobs so that
immgrants don't have to?
I have posted this before - when I had my business
where I helped seniors with every day tasks and chores
including landscaping work. I go back to 2013 when I
had a couple big jobs to do - especially
weeding/clearing/mulching. I asked neighbors if their
teenagers would be interested in some work - I was
offering $20-25/hour- cash - back in 2013! And
absolutely zero teens out of 12 wanted to do hard
outdoor manual labor - they rather get a retail job,
sit on their behinds and look at their phones. Same
result when I did move out cleans for home that sold.
Zero zero interest. Thank goodness a house cleaner I
encountered said HER teen would be interested and was.

teens if they got hurt? Did you fill out the
proper FICA reporting?
Regarding working at restaurants. Those are
not well paying jobs.
Additionally, those restaurants aren't located
in the poorest nor in the upscale
neighborhoods, but farther away on busy
streets. The poor can't afford the reliable
car nor the gas for their kids to get to those
jobs, plus they may worry about their teen's
safety. The wealthy parents probably have an
extra car but they also don't want their kids
working in a job they believe might be
dangerous in today's world.
My guess is, adult illegals are taking those
jobs. Where they live, their living
conditions, the number of adults in a single
residence or apartment, their mode of
transportation is something one can only
guess.
Additionally, if they are illegal, many times,
those are the workers employees like you like
to hire under the table.
Probably something you've never done, right,

Absolutely.
Oh, yes. Find teenagers who aren't autistic, or
poisoned with fluoridation and bromides, haven't eaten
foods laced with sugar/poison their whole lives and
still have gumption to do the hard work shuffle?
Foreigners.
If they knew what their blistering work would get them
in a couple of generations those foreigners would stay
home or go somewhere else.

These corporations are GLOBALLY owned, and
owned by the richest, like Gates, Bezos,
neither of whom seem to give a sh*t about the
middle class and poor USA citizens.
Illegal immigration HURTS USA citizens and the
middle class taxpayers. Additionally the poor
USA citizens are robbed of jobs now taken
by/given to illegals.

You miss the point. You were talking about costs. I
was talking benefits that are not included in your
equations.
Good for corporations, that is, not only global, but
corporations that do NOT want to be taxed for
preschool, good schools, free higher education and the
healthcare to keep these systems functional.
And what is good for corporations is going to happen.
This includes small corporations like farmers, store
owners, hotels, etc. Its the engine that fuels this
economy with fresh blood.
(Gates, rather tech companies hire h1 visa legal
immigrants and pays 1/2-1/3 what they would pay to a
local. Totally legal!)
When Republicans want good schools, a health system
beyond "die quickly", and government services that
actually respond to citizens, they will pay higher
taxes.
Don't hold your breath.
