I have the flu, what else am I gonna do??
My take - maybe the title was literal.
I thought the film was provocative & was wondering about it. Ive read a few
reviews & opinions about what stuff supposedly means, but haven’t see my
interpretation..
The Obamas are executive producers - not shocking, but curious. Elites by
any definition.
Reviewers, opiners put a lot of emphasis on the ‘friends’ show which is a
continuous obsession of the 13yr old daughter character throughout. I think
that’s just about escapism and a symbol of distraction.
The 13yr wears a NASA t-shirt throughout the film.
One of the main characters, played by Mahershala Ali, who works in high
finance tells the Roberts' character about having an uber-wealthy client “I
won’t say his name, but you’d recognize it”. He mentions that the client
deals with major defense contracting, “hush-hush , top-secret with the
Pentagon,” most powerful person he’s dealt with..etc. A few years earlier,
while both were drunk, the client tells him he likes him & wishes he could
bring him on a trip he was about to take, “just my annual meeting with the evil
cabal that runs the world”. They laugh.
The mysterious, extremely loud sounds which occur a couple of times are
discussed as possibly weapons, I think. But Roberts’ character suggests
maybe it’s aircraft that the public doesn’t know about.
Shortly before the events in the film take place, the client contacts the Ali
character to move an unusually large amount of money around. Ali character
describes the impromptu call with the client unusual & somber. The client
tells him to take care of himself, “almost as if he felt sorry for me”.
Mahershala’s character talks about the elite & how they’d get a ‘heads up’ if
the world came apart, ww3, whatever. He believes this might be what’s now
happening now, in the film.
There are several shots from space throughout the film. Towards the end,
there’s a shot from the moon, with an American flag (placed by astronauts) in
the foreground & the earth eclipsing the sun in the background.
In ufo conspiracy circles there’s been talk for years of the elite having the
ability to leave the Earth for another habitable destination. (Not suggesting I
believe this,btw, but dang, why can't the Pentagon pass an audit in 7 years?)
I’ve read recently that the moon could potentially be a ‘launch pad’ for future
forays into space.
Maybe this was literally a story of a very small portion of humanity leaving the
planet, as the US & the rest of the world breaks into chaos & societies
destroy themselves. Or maybe it was more subtly about how states destroy
themselves from within..
Just curious the Obamas wanted to be associated with the film. Maybe just
for shits & giggles. Who knows.

I have been following all sorts of chatter on YT concerning this film. Even though I do not view films much anymore I do follow/read the storylines and view clips and trailers to the most popular
ones. Some YT channels I visit for the chattering I don't see you being interested in but there is one I thought to share with you which you might be interested....This channel is a gematria decode
channel and a short video that was made on this topic...Zack has other other clips speaking to this topic and they are all interesting for consideration IMO...but since this one is 3 min. long I

Your take is plausible also and may factor in... but I don't see they will be able to pull that off and I say this because of prophecy combined with personal experiences and what I have been shown.

Well, I'm just talking about a fictional movie. :)
I watched your clip. I don't think it's anything more than a coincidence, & not
an especially meaningful one, either. Hollywood industry people know each
other & date each other. How many other guys has she dated? but that's
just my sense of things.

Life imitates art/fiction...or maybe not.
Nothing is coincidence imo .... but that's me and based on
personal experiences.
