I found this synopsis of David Van Zandt, the
owner/founder of MediaBiasFactCheck on
Political Hotwire. The post was based on
MBFC's own website:
"He's registered non-affiliated.
He's interested in politics.
He has a physiology degree and works in
healthcare.
He has a keen eye.
He's done this for a long time.
He has a website.
Now all of these are primary sources. I've
taken them directly from the website and I've
shown what they directly claim about
themselves.
Dave is a old guy, interested in politics, who
has been doing this a long time. He looks at
sources, uses a methodology HE created. He
grades them using his methodology and puts a
yellow dot on a line after dividing the score
for his admitted subjective scores by four. He
has no degree in anything affiliated with
evaluating media or even understanding
journalism. He has no advanced degree of any
sort. His main claim to fame he has a website
and he likes doing it, has a keen eye and has
done it a long time. Now he has credibility by
claiming lots of people use his website and
think his work is good which if of course
circular reasoning."

it either doesn't know how or doesn't have one. The
rules have been quite direct and bh has been asked many
MANY MANY times not only by participants but also the
admin to post links but consistently ignores doing so -
thus, only thing that can be surmised is that bh doesn't
know how.
