Professor of Paleoecology Mike Baillie of Queen's
University Belfast, as my guest for episode #11. The
story of tree rings and their importance in unravelling
events not just of the historic, but the prehistoric,
past is an incredible one. Old bog oaks from Irish bogs
can tell us enormous things about the past, especially
about when times were very tough due to volcanic
