Subject: The claims that the new Coronavirus didn't come from a lab

URL: Not from a lab

It's possible that in this instance my post might be
better off on WOWWOWs, but I think I'm asking some
legit questions here, so I'll put my commentary
here. Mr. Bopp, please feel free to let me know if
you prefer otherwise.

I took for granted that the virus came from the wet
market, but the rationale behind "id didn't come
from a lab" I find lacking.

Labs don't always pick at and restructure viruses.
They do orchestrate situations with animals and
antibiotics to test naturally occurring viruses, to
prod at their natural development and see what
happens. A virus can be observed in a lab going
through a natural series of mutations, and depending
on the nature of the antibiotics used, the animals,
and what the animals themselves are carrying
(viruses and bacteria do exchange genetic material
naturally, too), it's quite possible to speed up
mutation and test different strains.

You don't have to play "splice the genes" with it in
a lap, you can just push natural processes a bit
faster.

Forget I said antibiotics where I should have said
antivirals.
