"If the universe is only 14 billion years old, how can it be 92 billion light years
wide?"

Hmmm.. Good question!

Watch video for the answer :)

Hi Jody,

that is an easy one.

If the speed of light in vacuum was NOT constant over 14 billion
years but much faster over significant time then you could arrive at
a situation where the universe expands faster than current c.

Unfortunately, BIG science, the real one, forbids a scenario where
the speed of light in vacuum goes beyond c.

Now we have a nice contradiction here and a theory falling apart.

Big bang? No way.

Big money for big bang: yes. But big bang for universe: no.

Perhaps the should start calling their theory the Pig Bang?

Lol, Thanks Sequoia for mentioning that elephant in the room!
I usually wait a few years to watch science switch out the current darling of
a theory for a new and improved version..altho done super quietly...shh! ;)
Nothing is as advertised or what it seems lots of smoke and mirrors for the
sheeple. Not everyone is asleep or buying it--kudos to you!!!
Blessings, Jody

I just muse about 'time' itself hon....in the bible it says to 'god' a thousand years can be just a day or a day can be a thousand years' (or something like that, can't remember off the top of my head),but it seems to be saying that 'time' is not a 'set thing' and many say the illusion of time was created for us or for reasons that we don't understand/know yet. Thus '14 billion years' is just a number we throw around....??? and in reality, there is 'no time'....

Bringing actual real science into the science forum? What's wrong with you? You're going to upset people.

Safe space!! I need my safe space!!

grin....Hi Brian :-)(can't help myself)

Definition of science

1 : the state of knowing : knowledge as distinguished from ignorance or misunderstanding
2a : a department of systematized knowledge as an object of study the science of theology
b : something (such as a sport or technique) that may be studied or learned like systematized knowledge have it down to a science
3a : knowledge or a system of knowledge covering general truths or the operation of general laws especially as obtained and tested through scientific method
b : such knowledge or such a system of knowledge concerned with the physical world and its phenomena : natural science
4 : a system or method reconciling practical ends with scientific laws

*****************
and, as we have seen so much anymore, things that used to be in prior times as mystical, magic, spooky, anomalies, etc ....can now be understood in scientific terms from new studies.

********************
Science is the pursuit and application of knowledge and understanding of the natural and social world following a systematic methodology based on evidence.
https://sciencecouncil.org/about-science/our-definition-of-science/

******************
however, since EVERYTHING is based on 'energy', sometimes it is not possible with our limited resources/inventions/knowledge to even study 'scientifically' a theory/challenge/??? yet. However, again, one day in the future, we will be able to uncover the answers to questions and 'discover' more.

yeah....grin, I am blabbing.....good to see you.

Lol... Hey Brian, well that's just me ' expect the unexpected!'
-Upsetting ppl goes with the territory... ;)
Shocking isn't it REAL science here of all places?!

it was a good find ;) Blessings, Jody
