the lawn in general is a good thing...meaning a basic cleared area around one's residence...keeps bugs and vermin from being able to sneak up on you...but the manicured lawn of middle and upper america? excessive and all about posturing...

have you read about how the whole thing of lawns started?....so interesting how things evolve isn't it? I really prefer living in the woods or meadows where one can look forward too the wild flowers blooming and enjoy them instead of having to cut them all so your place 'looks' sort of like a yard with lawn instead of 'weeds'. they say all flowers were at one time 'weeds'...:-)
