no, you are not dense at all

my question is dense

of course they scrammed

but that did not prevent the one core from going prompt critical when all the coolant boiled away

nuclear fuel can melt together and create a critical mass and then there can be a prompt critical incident as happened

sorry for the confusion on my part

getting old and a little forgetful at times
