Neanderthals created art and knew how to use symbols, new studies say.

(which of course being 'me'....isn't it another existential question of what is 'art' anyway?..)Who determines it is 'art' or just an expression or a message....)

anyway, great long article with pictures and video...which again shows that they were more intelligent then people have given 'them' credit for.

were the hand prints nothing more then saying 'kilroy' was here?.....or ????.....which again tells me that there definitely is a 'prime creator' and that ability is inherent and easy to see in so many things rather then just homo sapiens.

Kay--A lightbulb went off in my head when I read your post!

I thought about Egypt being the closest link modern man has in the
language component. But what about DNA and physically? Were they the
direct descendants of Neanderthals who thought in pictures? Or a
combination of lineages from Atlantis. Off World Races and Neanderthal?
Language, traditions, foods and myths are all clues to where we come
from.

Egyptian Hieroglyphics are probably a direct result of Neanderthals!
Who's to say that wasn't ancient knowledge being passed down in writing
and DNA in the way they thought and communicated? I'm linking a basic
explanation of Hieroglyphics and they do have more in common with
Neanderthals than not. Interesting thoughts and Neanderthals have been
on my radar since I read the "Clan Of The Cave Bear" series of books!

Blessings, Jody
