Subject: Just Saw the Eclipse Here and I'm Glad I Didn't Travel...


...hundreds/thousands of miles.

It was nearly a complete eclipse, except for a sliver. For me, the total
eclipse wasn't worth the gas, and aggravation.

I was lucky enough to see the total eclipse from my front yard. That sliver of Sun that was left is the difference between daylight and the birds and insects and streetlights thinking it is night. The totality is quite different from a partial, even just a sliver.

But I probably wouldn't have driven hundreds of miles and paid for a hotel room. I hear in Nashville the rates at all the hotels were jacked up high since Nashville is the largest city in the path of the total eclipse.
