And bike path oprotect bikers from idiot drivers --Being and ex biker
myself (both motorcycle AND bike) I can empathize) they could leave
openings every few feet for bikers to get out but curbs would save
some bikgers Ives for sure,

Rebuilding roads to do that would cost money. And, it would block the cyclists in and not leave them an "out" if needed.
What it really boils down to is education. Drivers simply need to learn that cyclists have a right to the road and that it's not an inconvenience to simply change lanes and go around.
There also needs to be an education to law enforcement so they realize that a driver intentionally pushing cyclists off the road is not just "reckless driving" but is assault with a deadly weapon. Drivers have been brought up on those charges when the evidence of the action is irrefutable.

Now that's an idea I can get behind!!!
But on a more realistic note, if I could afford some good cameras, I'd do that. Then I'd have it all on video. But I am not yet convinced the investment is worth the cost, that law enforcement would follow up even with video evidence.

Camera would have to be attached to helmet... wouldn't
last 15 min on a parked bike.
Good idea, though.
