For 12 years, the remains of animals believed to have been around during the time of the dinosaurs have been dug up from behind a New Jersey strip mall.
Not only are they thought to be contemporaries of prehistoric creatures, it’s said that their deaths could have been caused by the same meteor that wiped out 70 percent of all life on Earth.
One piece of evidence working in favor of that theory is that all of the specimens found to-date are intact and perished at the same time. Thus, the dig could prove quite helpful in determining once and for all what caused the mass extinction of many species and cleared the way for the development of man.
