Here is a little real science for you The reason it is getting colder is for several reasons. The biggest is the Pacific decadal oscillation or PDO which turned to cold phase this happened in 2006. It is a cycle which last 20 to 40 years. Another reason is the Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation or AMO is near neutral after turning to warm phase in 1996. This cycle can last 60-100 years. The last and probably largest driver is the sun is entering a Grand Solar Minimum similar to the Orrt, Wolfe, Dalton and Maunder minimums that were responsible for the Little Ice Age from 1350-1900. Solar cycle 24 has been one of the weakest in at least 100 years and the climate has been cooling during it and Arctic Ice is near normal coverage right now and Antarctica has had record extent this year. |
