Grand Scientist , Grand Projectionist it's all good. Science looks to support creation rather than chaos into into precisiion order. Creation requires a creator. The compound odds of all required stacked systems of gravity ,proteins, atoms,organisms, air, light, heat , water, temperature, orbit etc working simultaneously and harmoniously are severe. Math does not support chaos. And the Dawkins Delusion is playin on screen 8 at the holographic multiplex. there's science to that....I'm so grateful I grew up in an enviroment where no organized religion was present, -the huge trees surrounding the property were the religion.... how's the bamboo biz coming along?? I read what Elon Musk said the other day, -he feels the artificial intelligence is the greatest risk for us human beings in the future.... it's a profound statement from a smart guy..... that Spielberg movie AI was way ahead of it's time... though is it not fascinating how often the movies display what will come up re the future science.... |

Jerky Jerry Brown needs to forget his train to nowhere and fix the water transfer system. dib has no sense of humor. He suffers from delusions of grandeur. I know a lot but I still learn from this board- one of the main reasons I come here. I miss Trapper. He was a bit of a pain in the arse but was knowledgeable in many areas. I have learned much from my son. What is so sad he says he has to talk with me because his peers have no idea what he is saying. Sad that an old fart has to be his sounding board. My dad passed the same year he was born. My dad and my son would have had a great time discussing physics etc. One time I needed a electrical machine and my dad asked me what did it need to do. He then proceeded to construct it from scratch. It worked perfectly. |

I do not miss trapper the least, -he was all about negativity, -even his humour was mean....I saw what he was all about.... cool you have an intelligent son, -my nephews and my niece are uber smart....world travellers.... the son of my friend from Del Mar just started his studies at UC Berkeley, -an amazinly intelligent kid.... you are fortunate to have bright kids, a son and a daughter ?? a friend of mine who is 34 years old has a phd from Berkeley and has two small kids, -she works as a professor in Palo Alto, her husband is a lawyer.... they have two kids, a four year old daughter and a two year old son.... omg, -these kids are beyond intelligent lol.... You espouse that faith, not me. I have no faith in an accidental big bang universe, that is your religion, not mine. Your video with Dawkins shows that some animals have better eyes than others. I think we all knew that . This may be entertaining to evolutionists but may support creation rather than deny it. In Dawkins' words," It's a good design. I agree, the great scientific designer has designed something wonderful. Designs require designers. The creationists with the 6,000 year old Earth are a bit silly. Dawkins encountering them is like the school yard bully beating up the little kids and stealing their milk money. The 6,000 year Earth guys are like Oscar Pistorius , they haven't got a leg to stand on. Other creationists of scientific background are a problem for Dawkins, they expose his wrong conclusions as do some philosophers. Dib you may think you are the Emperor of the Science Board, but you should put some clothes on. Your belief in so called science theory makes you the man of great faith, not me. If the religious didn't brainwash their innocent children into the false belief system of religion, and if the religious didn't hang out on websites like this spouting nonsense about having proof of God's holy presence in their lives, and if people used their brains to acknowledge that all their prayers, such as on one of the boards here, are seldom if ever answered, and if their stupid attacks on science weren't so stupid, then I wouldn't be so frustrated by the stupidity of the religious. What chaps my hide is the ignorance of people on the personal board asking for prayers, getting a dozen or more follow-up posts stating that prayers are said, and no-follow up. Have you ever seen a post saying the prayers worked? Nobody really expects the prayers to work, which means that they're hypocrits, and they keep going though that routine over and over again. actually dib, -prayers DO work....maybe here on the personals board it has become a cliche, -someone asks for prayers and the others dutifully jump to the task and post it..... I always send my energies but do not post it..... it's like love, -once the heart chakra is fully open the RIGHT way the feeling of love is amazing, -it's just not a word uttered randomnly.... as everything is energy, -the chair does not look like a chair, -our minds are programmed to see it that way..... Hey. I haven't read enough here to know if I'd defend Sciguy or not, but he's obviously a GUY, and guys LOVE to be called "Babe". So, if women want to be treated like guys, then they should be able to handle being called "Babe", too. It's only fair, right? I mean, we can't have it both ways. |

Well, I don't know if 'guys' or men in general like to be called a convenient, generic appellation...useful when their name slips away or perhaps if there is more than one man in one's life...call him Babe, and the other one Babe and who would be the wiser? In the case of a woman being called Babe (possibly for the same reasons), or as a diminutive to show rank or status, it is akin to being called 'the little woman'...an outdated (thankfully) designation, which now would be used only by the most brutish type of backward-thinking Neanderthal, lol! I don't know any woman who would want to be treated like a 'guy'. Receiving equal pay and treatment, yes...but being a woman has its advantages, too, so...no need for 'small' talk! |

Not everyone in science realm is happy to swallow and gag on primordial soup.
