yet something new that I learned, -these things are highly fascinating.....there is so much going on all around us....

my brother in the Artics has talked about these balls of light that appear , -he has observed them very early am , around 6am, they are nothing to do with lightning....my late father observed them as well...

they literally take off from the ground, -that's the fascinating part, -not hovering up in the air ?

is there a scientific explanation for this phenomena ?

Scientists don't seem to know much about them yet, except that they are very unlikely to ever be seen in nature because of the slow response time of the human eye.

I saw lots of fiery sprites from across the Bay right after the Giants won an 18-inning game. Didn't even have to look too hard for them. lol.

the fireworks over the Bay last night were gorgeous....
