Subject: being able to regurgitate facts is not a true measure of intelligence


being able to think in a logical manner about some problem that everyone else thinks is unsolvable and being capable of arriving at a valid conclusion is that true measure of intelligence ... everything else is window dressing and hogwash

window dressing and hogwash are ok if you're a rote repeating college "professor" trying to lodge facts in undergraduate brains ... but they fall way short of the mark otherwise

it's not enough to "stand on the shoulders of giants" if you're not capable of making sense of what it is you are seeing at those great heights

Obedience training is OK for dogs but humans should want more for their children.
