Why do I have the hunch that you don't understand what Feynman means by that statement?

I have a hunch I understand Feynman more than you do.

How many of his works have you read?

Hi HG,

Personally I've always like this Feynman quote:

"To those who do not know mathematics it is difficult to get across a real feeling as to the beauty, the deepest beauty, of nature ... If you want to learn about nature, to appreciate nature, it is necessary to understand the language that she speaks in."

So many people who do not understand mathematics seem to come up with these crazy ideas about the natural universe.... yet if they understood the language of mathematics they would appreciate beauty of the universe without needing to make up these crazy scenarios.

Feynman was a interesting person.

Cheers

Jim

To those who believe that mathematics completely encompasses and describes nature are fooling themsleves while displaying an elitist mentality which commits them to a life of a captured existence in the mind of their egomaniacial self-confidence in their self-delusions that they've 'got everything figured out'.

A little barefoot 6 year girl holding a cat and walking in the sunshine and soft grass knows more about nature's beauty than you're convoluted twisted view that your broken mathematical consensus models amount to much more than a hill of beans.

And the cat said 'meow'.

Feyman died with his mind trapped in false beliefs and false confidences and his elitism contained what he could have achieved by trapping himself in a box of his own making confidently sweeping the outliers under the rug to 'tidy up the data'.

Fools stand in line to follow him and end up in the same containment trap.

Aye, Lemmings are all in agreement as they all 'jump the cliff'!

(And they all said in chorus :) Aye!

I have to agree that mathematics is nature, and nature is
mathematics.

Sacred geometry, the Fibonacci sequence, Golden mean and
Golden rectangle appear everywhere from molecular
structure to arrangement of petals to hurricanes to the
shape of galaxies.

Beauty goes hand in hand with simplicity.
