HUMANITARIAN ASSISTANCE FOR SYRIA Posted by EQF on December 8, 2024
Hi Mr. Bopp and all,
Over the years I have stated that I work on a wide variety of humanitarian projects in addition to Earthquake Forecasting.
With this present posting you can see some information regarding one of the other types of humanitarian work that am constantly doing.
The following is the Web address of a new Humanitarian Efforts Web page that I created in just the past few hours.
https://eq-forecasting.webnode.page/humanitarian-efforts
After literally days of effort over the past few months along with a fair number of conversations with the people who run my Web site's Internet server, I am finally getting fairly good with creating these new Web pages.
That Web page contains much of the information in this present post, along with some additional comments.
I know from decades of doing humanitarian work that time is often of the essence when it comes to humanitarian aid. When things are moving fast, many lives can be easily saved in a matter of months, weeks, days, hour, and even minutes.
The information in this post could be a good opportunity for some of your forum visitors to perhaps save a few lives. People trying to save lives largely simply need to be organized, be good communicators, and be able to move quickly when an opportunity to save a life or two presents itself.
It is my recommendations that interested Boppin forum visitors consider doing the following:
December 8, 2024 - Humanitarian Aid For People Living In Syria
Many news reports are stating that as of approximately December 8, 2024, a new government has been established in the nation of Syria, in the Middle East.
It is recommended that people who support humanitarian efforts immediately contact their own government officials and international aid organizations, by phone or by sending them E-mail or text messages.
Those messages should recommend that if possible, their government officials and humanitarian organization personnel contact government officials and humanitarian aid groups in Syria right now, and offer to quickly send free humanitarian aid to Syria.
As a result of a civil war that has ravaged Syria for many years, many people including large numbers of innocent children, are likely in desperate need of food, medical assistance, and economic aid.
For a more specific recommendation,
U.S. Hospital Ships and hospital ships run by other countries might be sent to the Syria area with offers of free medical aid.
Assurances should first be obtained from Syrian government officials that they will guarantee the safety of all humanitarian aid workers visiting Syria and areas around Syria.
The new Syria government might presently have political policies that some people don't like. I myself don't know what their policies are likely to be.
However, I will point out that innocent children don't have political policies. Why not try to help some of them regardless of what the new Syria government's future policies might be?
If anyone has any helpful comments regarding this subject matter then I suggest that they post them in a response to this present post. Or, they can visit my new Humanitarian Efforts Web page and use the E-mail address at the bottom of the Web page to directly send me their recommendations.
Recommendations that look like they could be helpful might be added to my new Humanitarian Efforts Web page. I will also add on the Web page that a specific recommendation was made by someone else. However, in accordance with my safety and security policies, I do not include personal names or E-mail addresses with recommendations like that posted to my Web site.
I also do not plan to point anyone visiting my Web page to visit this forum regarding this matter.
Finally, Regarding My Web Site's Cookie Policies,
My new Web pages state that people need to accept cookies. That is a policy of the organization owning the Web site's Internet server.
I believe that Web page visitors can just ignore such cookie requests and continue to read the Web page.
If I am right about that, no cookies will then be stored on their personal computers.
Or, people who are highly concerned about cookies could go to a public library etc. and visit my Web site. I expect that the library computers will simply ignore cookie requests.
These are personal opinions.
Regards to all,
EQF
