Comment: Be careful with your wording !!!

This response is intended to be humorous.

Many people who visit this large group of forums probably just scan the headings and select certain postings to read. I do that myself.

Also, there are probably many people around the world who watch these posts and who speak English as a second or third language. So, the wording of a post heading could get them confused.

When I saw your post heading I immediately thought:

NOW WHAT ???

I have always heard that Walnuts are one of our best health foods. When I saw your post I was quite dismayed. I expected that you were going to tell us that medical people had now found that there is something dangerous about Walnuts.

The contents or your post provided at least some type of indicator that this was actually not what you were trying to warn everyone about. So, I had to follow your link to that video and saw that medical people have actually NOT changed their minds.

Walnuts are still considered to be a high value food.

There is some good that came out of all of this. Having viewed just a part of that video I decided that in the future when I go grocery shopping, I am going to add Walnuts to my food list. I like them anyway. When some are nearby I eat them. But I never before considered buying any.

So, you got at least one convert.

Again, with humor intended, do you have some advice for people regarding whom they should vote for in the approaching presidential election?

These are personal opinions.

EQF

I watched the entire video regarding the value of Walnuts. The following is my advice to Health Experts who generate videos like that.

After you are done creating the video,

GO BACK AND CAREFULLY CHECK EVERYTHING YOU SAID !!!

You might conclude that even though you had good intentions, one or two of your statements might not have been as healthy as you thought they were.

When listing the values of Walnuts they said:

When you have your morning bowl of OATMEAL, sprinkle some crushed Walnut on it.

That immediately raised a red or at least a bright orange flag.

Over the years I have heard a number of warnings from the health community regarding eating Oatmeal for breakfast. So, I went looking on Youtube to see what the latest information might be.

It appears that some of those warnings likely had some substance to them. Below is a link to a video that people can watch regarding this subject matter.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9dEYi1um--E

One of the risks reportedly associated with Oatmeal is that you could get fat. The Oatmeal itself might not be so bad. But people will often add tons of sugar to the Oatmeal.

All of that added sugar probably isn't so good for a person.

My own opinion:

Look at lots of reports regarding any health food messages so that you can get a good overview of the subject matter.

Don't make important decisions regarding your health after reading just one report.

Eating Oatmeal for breakfast is likely a lot healthier than eating Potato Chips for breakfast, something that I myself do now and then and will undoubtedly continue to do.

However, Oatmeal doesn't appear to be the "Perfect Food for breakfast" that many people believe it is.

THE MORAL OF THE STORY

Once again, if you are preparing a video related to health issues, when it is finished, go back and carefully check every statement you made in the video even if it does not pertain directly to the subject matter of your video.

These are personal opinions.

EQF
