Will have to see if I can watch this whole thing in a few
sittings, I know of this gentleman (you or someone else
posted about him awhile back also)...and any light being
thrown upon just how profoundly trauma impacts our psyches
is so important....... It's impossible for us to truly
understand anyone with a traumatic background without these
insights, thanks for sharing......

Yes, I learned of him some months ago- our mental
health is just as important as our physical, if not
more, since it affects us physically--no matter if its
a long time ago or to the now. Most of us carry some
trauma from childhood- some more, some less. And
certainly most of us are being traumatized by the on-
going political and war chit.
He begins his interview speaking about Trump. I've
been watching this one video in smaller chunks myself.
I learned early on I needed to talk with a psychologist
and so told my mom and she helped me get in touch with
someone as a teen. I suppose I have been in "therapy"
most of my life, in one form or another-I found tuning
into my music and singing was extremely helpful- that
along with song writing/composing and teaching myself
guitar. Mate mentions getting into some form of art is
very important- something I knew intuitively way back
when I was 7-8 years old.

While I've often half-jokingly said lately that just
being incarnate on the planet right now is enough to give
anyone PTSD...oh my yes, healing from intense trauma has
been an ongoing lifelong journey for me, as I'm sure has
been evident... ;) Moving from solely-intellectual psych
angles of understanding in my teens (Maslow, etc.), into
more spiritual/wholeness-based teachings and then
spiritual/astrological psychology has given me decent
bones for understanding myself and others at depth, so to
speak...but the journey of actual healing goes on, and
on, and on... ;)
I'm so aware how powerful artistic expression in any form
can be for a healing process! I have a few dear friends
whose lives are amazing illustrations of this... ;) One
of my late sister's degrees was in art therapy, she loved
helping her hospice patients connect with their own
grooves in that way... I'm so glad that you had someone
to talk to so young, and for how beautifully your musical
composition & singing talent has helped you heal,

i met him when he gave a seminar at the local college...a very intelligent and compassionate guy whose ideas and theories a make a lot of sense...and he has the experiential data that backs them up......

Wow...have only begun diving into this but what's struck me
already is how he emanates the energy of *safety*...that
organic synergy of wisdom and compassion...
What a lovely privilege, to have met him...

👍🤗 yes, he started out as a physician/delivering
babies and went on to getting his psychology degree- and
also working with those at end of life Palliative care
for those going thru that.
