Trump: "We don't want windmills in this country. We're putting an order on it.
I've already sort of done it. We don't want windmills.. you know what else
people don't like? Those massive solar fields."

James Surowiecki

So stupid. We're going to see a meaningful slowdown in the pace of renewable-
energy development because Trump doesn't like the way windmills and solar
fields look.

How China Became the World's Leader on Renewable Energy

control new coal power, reduce energy and carbon intensity by 2025, increase
the share of non-fossil energy sources to 20 percent by 2025 and to 25

Banning solar development would be a huge mistake right now.

That big AI data center that was just announced plans to use solar + battery
storage.

Let’s not shoot ourselves in the foot on energy policy.

my grandson works at a windfarm as a tech. There is a
group of techs he works with that voted for Trump and
trying to convince him that Trump was for the working
man, was going to make everything better and they would
have more money.

These techs, if trump carries out his threat, would
probably be the first to lose their jobs. "Thanks for
your vote, good luck on unemployment ..now bend over."
