you just have to insert your own ego here don't you ... that's all right ... you go ahead ... it's you who are "special" and have "special needs" but we never hear about what you think or about who you are do we?

how about a "conservation board" for those of us with positive attitudes?
How does conservative and positive, as you use them here, mean one and the same? If you're calling the GOP conservative I beg to differ, The GOP is so far from conservative it's nuts. They are sick fucking liars. They steal, they cheat, and they spend like drunken sailors. They take and they destroy and they tell anyone that calls them on it to go fuck themselves. No man, it's the Dems that are the conservative party anymore. It's the dems that are trying to figure out how to keep this whole thing from going south.
But if you're talking conservation... like conserving our resources, our environment, something the Democrats strive for, more power to ya! I'd be happy to participate.
Though, to give you a sense of my beginnings, I was planting trees in the late '60s as well.. but doing it in the Sierra. Planting some pine but mostly fir. I also did the thinning season, cutting xmas trees in the fall.. even considered the forestry program at HSU once I got out to Arcata, but went on to other things. As Buffy said.. God Is Alive Magic Is Afoot..

I don't know the cultural reference.. never heard of.. but Buffy was a part of the era.. those formative years in which magic had so much potential.. and then went on to have considerable influence on Robbie Robertson who's Music For Native American was probably the finest of his life..

I think this aught to go on a different board...take it to music and post if you like this sort of music is not my thing in terms of muse music but others might be interested and follow you on the music board. Thanks.
Well I didn't listen to the second one and barely the first before I knew it was not for me but the image alone was telling me so here's for you though I asked...I sort of wish I had not but then I am glad I did as theres a lesson as to the signs of the times we are end...oops I mean in. Fair is fair.
Witchiepoo's n' hocus pocus master magicians in the realm of sorcery ... here's a though for you to scratch your itchies with...
That's a really good offering by Robbie. I really liked his solo stuff.. his first self titled solo album is awesome. My goodness, just the first track Fallen Angel grabs something really deep in me.. but that album with the Red Road Ensemble is a whole other world. At least, it has been for me.

Funny, to imagine I am anything other than repulsed by Elon, I think to tweet on twit one has to be an idiot, is to say just how confused you are. Seriously, Eve, in what universe did you come up with that idea?
Again, as one of the sisters of the revolution said, never mind.

I started my first job in Mendocino also at the age of 15, but just opposite of what you were doing, splitting oak trees into firewood. At the 1:25 minute mark in the video link, is the person who I was splitting firewood with on that same exact property.

I was able to spend the summer up there by myself taking care of the property the following summer at age 16. Had a beautiful view of the Yolla Bolly mountains to the east from the off grid cabin. That's awesome that you planted so many trees. I spent about three weeks not far from where you were planting seedlings doing a landscaping for a rich guy in the redwoods. North of Covelo is very remote rugged country just south of the Trinity Mountains. Some of the best tasting water I've ever had. His springs never dried up during the drought in the 70s as people were coming to get water from his property as their wells dried up.
Synchronicity, I ran into a beautiful older Native American woman from Mendocino at my local costco in Nevada just a few days ago. I was helping her get a live tree into her cart that she was going to plant when she returned to Mendocino.
I have never heard of Yolla Bolly before so I looked it up and it's a native american Wintu name so I looked more into this tribe as I had never heard of the Wintu and so sad my heart now laments...settlers gave them poison at a 'friendship feast'.
Many tragic stories from the Northern California region. Just shows how spiritually unevolved the white man was back then. It was probably a Ancient Wintu Elder sitting next to me by the campfire in a very remote part of the Trinity Alps some years ago on a back pack trip off trail. My Jesus friend who is very psychic, saw him sitting next to me.
Thanks for planting all those trees! You brought back memories of a story I had to read in my creative writing course, and was my favorite, The Man Who Planted Trees.

there were just a few of us knotheads who liked it ... we would get choker setters come out to work with us and they wouldn't last a day ... tuckered out ... we were always on the move ... the faster you can move along a slope, the more trees you can plant ... back in the day I once planted twelve hundred plug hole redwoods in one day and the rest of the crew did the same as me or better ... just four of us in an old school bus on the landing and all of the upper Gualala to plant
