Global Shift To Vegan Diet Would Sustainably Feed 10 Billion People, Study Finds

Switching to a plant-based diet, halving food waste, and improving existing farming practices can feed the projected world population of 10 billion by 2050, says a new study published today in the journal
Nature.

The study, which was conducted by researchers at the Stockholm Resilience Centre, is the first of its kind to quantify how global food production and eating habits affect the planetary boundaries that would
allow for humanity to sustain itself.

“No single solution is enough to avoid crossing planetary boundaries. But when the solutions are implemented together, our research indicates that it may be possible to feed the growing population sustainably,”
said study lead author, Dr. Marco Springmann of the Oxford Martin Programme on the Future of Food and the Nuffield Department of Population Health at the University of Oxford.

Researchers found that it is not possible to successfully mitigate climate change without a shift towards a plant-based diet, noting that more individuals should adopt more “flexitarian” eating habits. While a
July 2017 study published in the journal Climatic Change has shown that consciously reducing meat consumption does lessen an individual’s carbon footprint, the largest-ever food production analysis, which was
released this summer, details that a vegan diet is the most effective means of combatting climate change.

“Without concerted action, we found that the environmental impacts of the food system could increase by 50-90% by 2050 as a result of population growth and the rise of diets high in fats, sugars and meat,” he
continued. “In that case, all planetary boundaries related to food production would be surpassed, some of them by more than twofold.”

In addition to adopting a plant-based diet, the study notes that other large-scale changes would aid in creating a more sustainable food system. Improved agricultural technology and farm management practices
that regulate land, freshwater, and fertilizer use, as well as increasing agricultural yields from existing cropland could halve the industry’s environmental impact. According to researchers, implementing all
changes could reduce greenhouse gas emissions by more than half.

“Many of the solutions we analyzed are being implemented in some parts of the world, but it will need strong global co-ordination and rapid upscale to make their effects felt,” Springmann continued.

Many world leaders and researchers are realizing that immediate action is necessary in order for humanity to sustain itself, following a presentation earlier this week by the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on
Climate Change. The report called for world governments to make “unprecedented changes” to all aspects of society in order to prevent environmental disaster sparked by global warming.

While I did post this article with the comment:

“Many of the solutions we analyzed are being implemented in some parts of the world, but it will need strong global co-ordination and rapid upscale to make their effects
felt,” Springmann continued."

I do not feel it will receive strong global co-ordination to make it's effect felt soon enough plus even those who seemingly support such an effort in terms of worldly
government don't do it themselves on a personal scale while they may admit it would help saying one thing and doing another. Plus there is the profits consumerism factor of
which animal slaughter is part of even blood in wall paint for use of dye and so on it's endless what the renderings of the slaughtered are use for even glycerin in
toothpaste or whey in potato chips which does not have to be but it is. If we could see many a wall paint hue in spirit it would be bleeding of death vibes.

Also I see the implementation of roaches for industrial animal agriculture feed will increase thereby the bug eating via conversion in the animal corpses, etc..

For me it's personal and spiritual and see the reality echo in the newsy mediums of this world have observed the environment become more and more unclean and lacking in
vibrational support for better health. I do not need worldly government implementation or dictating to get a clue as even though they have a clue they do not truly follow
through though they say, say, say and/or work around not doing what they say and making something else wrong.

p.s. Also I changed my diet before the governments of this world
began speaking to the animal agriculture component concerning the
environment but it was not long after my change and before their
speak. I realized why such a diet is damaging to the environment and
why it was never created thus but the adversarial killing spirit made
it so which equates to what it is today which is death and
destruction on a large scale.

I would be interested in what kind of seeds/plant oils
will be used in this... such as organic olive oil, and
those which are safe and healthy for humans to consume.
In a perfect world it would be good to maintain a vegan
diet.

After my prayer was answered I just did it, I did not stop and ask myself exactly what to eat for a
week or so I ate peanut butter and jelly till I figured it out with guidance from the good spirit.

I was addressing the article you posted as to the right
kind of fats/oils, ie, too many vegan diets have the
unhealthy fats and oils and seed oils in the processed
foods made for vegan's. Too much processed foods. I
would hope whomever wants to take over the food
production to be vegan world wide will take all of this
into consideration and deal justly with the consumers.

You can figure it out and teach yourself if you really want to. No one is going to
make you become vegan and yes I do understand that many processed vegan are not
healthy and I have said this to you before in another thread....There will sadly be
slaughtered animals available for those who will continue to indulge and those who
work in the industry who will be damaged mentally from such a sad job. I am not
taking my time to spell it out for you as I really do not think you are interested
in a vegan diet but seem more interested in challenging the notion. Further more and
sadly no worries for you there still as a start in moderation it's better than
consuming dead animals imo and big pharma supports it cause it makes for more
business plus it makes for more lab testing on animals thus more vaxes as well as
release of such that causes such as Covid-19.

corrected post...really tired today ..sigh:

You can figure it out and teach yourself if you really want to. No one is going to make you become vegan and yes I do understand that many processed vegan are not healthy same with processed animal foods
I said this in the thread you speak to from another board some time ago. No worries you and others can remain as you are it's your personal choice. However the planet environment will not support such a
diet much longer due to environment collapse as it is collapsing right now due to such as well as other man made consumerism factors.

There will sadly in this worldly world be slaughtered animals available for those who will continue to indulge and those who pay for others to
work in the industry to kill for them who will be damaged mentally from such a sad job... and/or those who will slaughter to consume such for themselves or even for sporting purposes.

I am not taking my time to spell it out for you as I really do not think you are interested in a vegan diet even a well balanced healthy one without processed foods but seem more interested in
challenging the notion. Furthermore also sadly no worries for you or anyone who wishes not to make a personal change in terms of not consuming dead animals imo which big pharma and the animal agriculture
industry supports cause it means profit which makes for more business which makes for more lab testing on animals thus more vaxes as well as
release of such that causes Covid-19 which can potentially kill ones neighbor and pets.

I really aught not to have not have responded to you on this topic given your previous resistance...my bad. If you rebuttal I will just copy this message to you due to what's the point in taking more
time to respond to you otherwise?

Personally I do feel I am here on a sojourn to learn to be to be a good stewards in that manner of do not kill and there will be a new garden, a peaceable kingdom for good stewards of obedience to true
peace who understand they are their brothers and sisters keeper. There will also be otherwise worlds separated from the peaceable kingdom in which be a place for others who lack good stewardship of true
peace. This is what I believe and have learned what "do not kill" truly means as this earth was not created for killing and will only regenerate for so long until it is not possible....
Otherwise = destruction and death... then killing of animals killing animals and human animals killing human animals happen then cannibalism like that which is happening now as it was in the days of
Noah. Franky I do not want to be in a garden with others who support killing and consume dead animals as to me it lacks in love but for now I have to be and am called to watch, witness, observe and learn
the terrible results of such actions and how a suicidal society manifests.

I don't think you were understanding my comment- I've
already done the studies about healthy foods and make
good healthy food choices for most part. What do world
govments plan on doing to make this action for world
wide compliance.

“Many of the solutions we analyzed are being

this is the part I was addressing... I do not trust
governments to make the right choices for diets and
other mandates, especially when its being enforced. How
will it be enforced?

P.S. My comment prior as now was about worldly leaders as I do not trust them either as they trust in big pharma and I do not vote for the worldly to be my leaders or govern over my personal choices and
my change to a vegan diet was not about politics or politicians or so from the UN towers of babbling. I understand how to differentiate. I do not even have health insurance because I don't think/believe
that worldly organization can insure my personal health that is what I believe.

after becoming vegan I have lost about fifty pounds in
less than a year and am no longer diabetic ...
vegetables all the way and just a bit of non-fat yogurt
in the morning with a big glass of water ... it really
is the answer ... Psalm 78 sent me here ... it says they
lusted after meat ... manna not good enough for them ...
and so they wandered for forty years
