URL: who killed the electric car

Toyota has lost it badly. they had a RAV4-EV way back when may other makers tried a EV vehicle.
guys I worked with loved them even though limited mileage of less than 120 miles
then after a few years since the companies owned the cars went on to crush them all.
video "Who Killed the Electric Car."
as for Hydrogen it is being pushed by the big oil companies as they want to supply
the Hydrogen from gasoline at their stations through a"cracker plant."
I could go on.... maybe after supper.

I'm thinking of being common sense rather than actually
functional. Rather than some EV'ers pushing it all or
nothing sort of thinking. IE, leaving it open to
innovation and realistic. I mean practically speaking NO
one can afford an EV except maybe you and a few others,
right? Lol.

Toyota Prius first imported a car that could go 25 miles on battery.
in the 1990s people were buying them and removing those batteries and installing
a larger battery to get over 80+ miles and home charge them, Prius only used their gas motor
to charge their battery, this was in the San Francisco.

as for Hydrogen, it was pure chemistry to me. I started college to major in chemistry.
realized it was not going to be finished as my color blindness was not compatible.
my shop had fuel cell vehicles over 20 years ago.
being a weekend foreman I had to go to every training session as I was the
safety person on the days I worked. I was last one out as I evacuated everybody first
just in case of a fuel leak from out own Hydrogen supply tank, fueling station.
the instructor got very quiet when I asked how they made the hydrogen.
they used the stuff piped in to everybody's home, Natural Gas.
it made hydrogen and carbon dioxide as a by product. he said they had people
who bought that produce,"Dry Ice" used in shipping. it too does evaporate into CO2 gas.
