as I daily watch the weather as a NWS spotter I am troubled by what I see.
or don't see really is much for rain. it has been a weekly occurrence the last few years.
here in TN the last 5 months there has been about three inches of rain.
usually there is three inches a month.
radar; https://www.wunderground.com/maps/radar/summary
my favorite radar as it shows severe storms and height of thunderstorms.
mezo, hail as well as tornadoes.
so that explains the why rivers like the Colorado, Mississippi and almost every lake or dam in the West coast is dry.

after 5 months of less than 3" I got 3" November 29th through the 30th.
it is expected to rain 5" this week.
almost sounds like back to normal.

forgot to mention one other spot.
the great salt lake is so dry!
it use to lap up to next to I-80.
today it is so dry you would have to walk about one mile out to the waters edge.
Jim Berkland monitored the water at the Oroville CA dam and the sudden quakes under it.
the continent is so dry now it just might float over the ocean plate.
I'm sure the water has accumulated on to the ocean plates.
