Subject: The Caldor Fire

For those watching the Caldor Fire from afar this must be hair raising. Once again, a fire that practically spans the distance from one side of the Sierra to the other, and is now going after South Lake Tahoe.

Besides the regular stream of information, links to satellite stuff and such I included in my posts regarding the Dixie fire, Zeke Lunder at https://the-lookout.org has nailed it. His post this morning, 08/31, regarding the Caldor Fire is as informative, as clear as it gets..

And now, watching the fire advance through the National Fire Situational Awareness map...

Is daunting. One wrong move, one twist of the wind, and that whole town...

Lot of folks moved to Lake Tahoe recently... thinking
the air there would be more cleaner and healthier.
