Not good, it's one of our last old growth forest. There will be long drawn out court battles over this. The area has relied on tourism and will be disgusting to look at clear cuts. Also mining companies are actively going forward with the permitting process to start mining in many different places up river that will have a affect on salmon runs, which in turn will put fisherman out of business, can't have it both ways. Canada wants to also allow a company to build a oil pipeline through the the mountains to the coastline from the interior. There's major attracts on this precious beautiful area thanks to spiritually sick individuals.

Hi Kay, it doesn't matter who's in office, there's constant pressure from corporation's to get at the resources. Look at Canada, they're run by liberals but the oil, mining and logging industries still go on there, too much money involved including high paying jobs. There is and has been logging taking southern Alaska when Obama was in office, you just don't hear about it. I'm more concerned about the pipeline going in at this time from Canada which you don't hear about either, can't afford any spills. Let's leave the politics out of this.

Hi Pamela, Kay has been going by my name for sometime now. WE meant many years ago up at Mt Shasta when I was a lot younger when I had a interview at the college in Grants Pass.

Hi Kay, I remember that day very well. The sky had a deep blue to it with some puffy white clouds with Mt Shasta in the backdrop. I thought it was awesome to meet you, but at the same time very nervous because of the interview. There must of been about 12 people in that room, the most I've ever experienced before, so glad when it was over. I would say that that day was probably way up there for a adventure and high energy due to having to drive all that way on the same day through the mountains by myself, being asked difficult questions as I was watched by about 12 strangers, and meeting you. Meeting you helped me so much, more than you ever knew as it relaxed me with your loving energy, it was a very special day in my life.
Thank you ❤️
