been waiting for lab test results since news came out that nearly 300 elephants died suddenly from unknown causes (see my post below for details). WTF is happening to this earth with so many mass dieoffs in the past few years?
July 11, 2020
The hundreds of elephants that mysteriously died in Botswana might have been victims of a pachyderm-adverse pathogen, a deadly new novel disease, according to the government.
The world was shocked earlier this month when the intact bodies of 281 elephants were found near the Okavango Delta. Samples were sent to Zimbabwe and South Africa and initial results have, according to Bloomberg, “eliminated known diseases that would cause mass deaths and this may signal ‘novel diseases,’ the government said in a statement.”
Although the number of deaths so far represents a fraction of the estimated 130,000 elephants in Botswana, there are fears more could die if authorities cannot establish the cause soon.

yes it is, have to admit I shed tears sometimes, well most of the time on the demise of so many species now. Humans have over run the earth, we are NOT good stewards and are eating our way into oblivion.
There are those good souls who are working to save what's left of our world's creatures but given the rate of destruction now, it may be the next "mass extinction" event as so many scientists predicted.
The fact that we humans are poisoning the air, water, ground doesn't appear to bother most now which is understandable given the virus threat upon us which consumes much of the news.
Yet, it appears that this virus might be the one weapon Mother Earth has against we humans to rid itself of the most destructive force since the last die off so many thousands of years ago. Guess those of us with any wits at all will have to wait to see how this all plays out over time. I may not be alive to see the end result but trust that many of us will know.
