Ah, so nice, the warmth. Getting crispy cool here in the North East. I am not ready for Autumn. Summer is my favorite season and the hotter the better. Used to live in California and the Warmth so wonderful because not humid. And ocean breezes make it all just lovely. Step Sister lives near L.A. and she is hot right now. Ah.... |

It got to high of 82 today, quite a bit cooler than yesterdays mid 90's. But snow storm is coming soon for us in SW Mt. |

I know it is, hon, & no doubt that’d get to me, too, after a long enough while! ;) We’re kind of at opposite extremes, here... ;) When I moved to AZ over 30 years ago after growing up outside Chicago, felt like I could never get enough desert heat...lol...now, a couple heatstroke bouts later, hard to imagine ever tiring of cool, green humidity... ;D ...if I could ever be so fortunate as to live in it... ;) |

👍😍, 8 years for me here. Now its 38 degrees F. Grew up in the mountains/desert areas of San Diego. We had snow and cold. Also lived in the beach areas for a while when younger. Was in C Az for almost 10 years where it snowed. |

I feel so sorry for my relatives in Fresno, their HVAC went out about a week ago, can't get any fixers in until next week! 111 degrees for Sunday there! This is global warming on steroids but of course it's all a "hoax"! Not as bad here in Oregon but we've had several weeks of record breaking heat in the 90s. Thing is, we've got big gardens so am having to water all day long all over our large lot full of trees, growies, etc. Sorry this map from NWS is so big but it sure paints the picture of how bad it is in Ca. The whole state is under a "excessive heat warning"! The jet stream is stuck way north toward Alaska and will continue that position well into the end of next week and possibly beyond. There's a new fire in Sequoia/Kings Canyon that appears to be growing fast too so there's that. |

I've been buying lots of fresh juicy fruit-water melon, cukes, grapes, lemons. And learning how to make nice cool drinks with them. |

Still 113° at 3:38p, but I'll take it, LOL The AC gods have left me with a lump of cool(er), I only have fans to blow the hot air around! Don't like the sound of AC, so I'm fine with fans...until these interminable heatwaves this year makes me rethink my priorities...GAWD! I'm dreaming of a white (COLD) Christmas! |

Oh MY, Miz Daisy...! ;-O Though that's the reality I lived for many years in the desert, with the occasionally functional swamp cooler in the mix, I bow to your superhuman heat tolerance...however much your displeasure w/the noise of AC may be flagging it in the wake of these Fires of Mordor... ;D No way in the world I could navigate 116 with only fans anymore; I'd be in the ER w/heatstroke far beforehand, with my history... Joining you in the very very COLD white Christmas fantasy, for sure, and throwing in for some unexpected, long overdue, old-fashioned bodacious thunderstorms that cool everything off 30 degrees, for good measure in the meantime! ;D |
