Subject: fires on both sides of I-5 in oregon

my friend who came down here from Eugene friday reported it was real scary, seeing fires on both sides of the highway...I was wondering when the roads here were so packed with cars trying to get to the coast and the smoke index is still up the worst in the states, didn't even leave windows open to cool the house off last night.

Yep, same here. My friends from Medford drove up here yesterday. They got here before the fire jumped I-5 across to the East Side.

It's probably a good thing they are kind of stuck here with van brake issues. It's not very smoky up here.
