just throwing the following out here, because maybe it can help:

i got rid of the most common (not deadly) one without antibiotics or other type of medicine, by eating 2 lemons a day during a two week period. It raised my body ph more than anything else I have tried.

Traditionally lemon was used in treatment of epidemic diseases ( Malaria , Typhus ) , but also with painful joints and dysentery.
