It makes ya wonder, when people refuse to listen and don't check their routes. Also, when people tie dogs to trees and leave, grrrrr, I don't wish them well.
Maybe a flash flood came upon them quickly? Reed Timmer says Buffalo Bayou has a couple city blocks under water. I noticed on the Houston Doppler (KHOU), there is a tornado watch just West of Houston:

It's hard to believe there are 3 more days of rain coming down over Houston.
