Subject: Mariposa, CA - The Detwiler Fire


This is a nasty one, 19,600 acres and 5% contained at
this point, 7/18/17 3:55 PM. Mariposa, reportedly is
being evacuated; this is an old gold rush town and at
one point was being considered to become the capital
of California. Lots of history and is located at the
junction of California Hiways 49 and 41 about halfway
between Yosemite and Fresno.
