Federal officials have launched an investigation into a cyber intrusion in which a group of hackers reportedly breached at least one US nuclear power plant. The source of the attack, and whether it’s related to the “Petya” ransomware infection launched earlier this week, are not yet clear.
Officials say the "Nuclear 17" breach was limited to the yet unnamed plant’s business side, and E&E News reported that the attack wasn’t severe enough to trigger safety alerts from the International Atomic Energy Agency or the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
Cybersecurity experts like Paulo Shakarian, founder of the CYR3CON security firm, say that although this breach has been contained, it has potentially dangerous implications for nuclear safety in the future.
"If a nuclear power facility is attacked on the business side, that might actually serve as a way of information-gathering," Shakarian told Business Insider, explaining that sometimes hackers will attempt to "see if, by reaching that system, they can get more insight into what the facility is using on the operational side."
"This could be a big danger and it could lead to another attack that could be more serious...."
Yes, it does seem that it would "be more serious."
How are we supposed to feel safe?

How crazy is it to have all our nuclear plants ONLINE and fitted with 'programmable logic valves' on pipelines? I mean here is the IDEAL and here is the REALITY. Like they say, adapt to reality, or get run over by the nuclear bus. We do not have TIME to wait for technology to clean up the nuclear industry waste problem or the tendency to radiation releases due to the Wigner Effect and sloppy humans! To allow these plants to remain online is suicidal, imo. Maybe we are in a 'DUH, guess we're gotta die now' mode? As a depop tool it's ludicrous as it won't stop humans from procreating but they will be mutated beyond recognition if not shorter lived, while the life forms supporting the top of the food chain, near and far from the nuclear disasters, are totally destroyed over time.
I hope anyone who practices merry-mayhem-making understands that creating nuclear meltdowns will be the same as offing themselves if they live in the Northern Hemisphere. They are as crazy as the nuclear industry that is a death cult run by people who do not want to tell the truth about the reality they have unleashed on the planet, without any real technology to clean up their messes. Queen Urania (Elizabeth) should know better by now, NOT to continue uranium mining. It's like, the asylum inmates of the oil and nuclear industries are running life on the planet into the ground. There is simply not enough awareness or pressure on the PTB to change the energy industry versus surrendering to watch species go into a death spiral unleashed by NPP disasters (trending to MANY disasters with our very old NPP's). Taking the NPP's OFFLINE would be a start, given current political tensions.
Meanwhile I just saw a news story this morning about how the killer whales are having 'pregnancy problems'. The mainstream news has no education or balls to report what (the likely) four nuclear reactor meltdowns, continuing, in Japan, is doing to the entire Pacific Ocean environment along with chemical-plastic toxins and high UV counts. All that they can muster is something about toxic algae or the same ole' buzz saw about global warming. The details are right in front of their face but they choose to deny reality. What a bunch of deadbeats.
I would say that the group communications about the reality of nuclear plant hazards and the health of our planet is thoroughly bolluxed up by a small group of elites who are in denial about their own lack of education in biological ecosystems and who are pumped up about their own mental prowess over matter (not!).
How do you take people, narcissists by proxy, in denial and numbed out about the death they are creating all around them, to reality and a solution, without slapping them up the side of the head? No, I mean seriously, without the slapping?

I thought of your post when I saw this just now being a component something being
hacked/attacked/ or earth shaking of so that may yet to be seen...I think perhaps TECO was
just targeted...kemokae had a message on her cell phone back in March that I felt at the time
was a message to me in spirit to take heed of...see links provided. No worries about me
cause I fine, I covered under Psalm 91 word to my soul...I know this and I have been fighting
the good fight in spirit since I arrived here on this sojourn...my destiny for such a time as
