I just learned that Nuance, "an American multinational computer software technology corporation, headquartered in Burlington, Massachusetts, United States", fell victim to ransomware, and that is affecting a lot of their customers. Clyde Lewis reported last night that some attackers demand Bitcoin payments and proof of payment... but they never email back the password that will free up a compromised computer.
