citizen in Yuba city gives the low down whats going on
with lifting the evacuation while the dam is still being compromised.. 20 mins or so- she gives a good speak.

and I hope I don't need to remind you of what Doc said about the insurance companies and wall street making a killing on disasters which may have been man made. I wouldn't put it past them.

A friend just had her 15+ year homeowners policy
cancelled. The insurance company claimed that her home
doesn't have the requisite 100 feet of 'defensible" space
(for fire protection) around the house. The fact that she
lives on a rocky hillside doesn't make a difference. When
she called the insurance agent, she was told by a snotty
agent that there's nothing the agent could (or would) do
for her.

Yes, it sounds very likely a planned event and worse.
Lots of us over at groans posted about the symptoms for these areas which are horrific. Mines worse than the 6.8 Nisqually by far.
Finally Mami chimed in and agrees.
