Yeah, people are ripping him for this emotional outburst, however, others are saying there are many people who are like deer in the headlights there, refusing to leave! So, I guess he thought YELLING at THOSE WHO WON'T LEAVE will help them make a decision. Uh, probably not. Mostly it will make them mad. It's almost too late for them to leave now anyway. S
There's an 11 foot tidal surge on top of 20+ft waves at the front - not good. South Carolina and Georgia low lands are subject to severe flooding too, yet people are not wanting to leave there, so the SC governor is asking them to sign a waiver that acknowledges they won't be getting ANY help.
The 'Fujiwajara Effect' of Nicole and Matthew connecting is another issue TBD, down the road a piece. BPearthwatch did a good job on reporting the 'cane here on out, especially that part about another 'cane where big refrigerator trucks were loaded up with dead bodies of the drowned and stubborn who didn't or couldn't leave and that was that. I'd be one of those if I couldn't get my animals out.
Millions of Americans have been warned that the 'worst effects are still likely to come' in the form of heavy flash floods as Hurricane Matthew moves up the east coast of Florida, bringing with it 100mph winds and storm surges.
'At 2pm, Matthew was currently 40 miles east-southeast of St Augustine and 60 southeast of Jacksonville beach, moving up the coast at 12mph with maximum sustained winds of 115mph.
While there are signs that a direct hit with land will be avoided, officials are particularly concerned about low-lying areas in Jacksonville, which could be hit by heavy flooding. A flash flood warning has been issued until 6.15pm.' (YT, Paparazzi News)

Most people that don't leave chose to do so because they
are afraid of looting in the after math... or they have no money or anyone to evacauate to....I doubt most people would stay in such an place unless they felt they had no other choice. After Veronia flooded out here, those that didn't have thier houses floating off their foundations went back and had them lifted some 15 feet up in the air, just in case there's ever an next time,
but many people also simply moved higher up the hills and off the flood plain level. The Gvtmt came in an relocated their school..build another high and flat and
made it sturdy enough to use as an evacuation shelter.

I guess he needed his ratings to go up, lol. My uncle didn't get any damage at all. A lot of frothing up for nuttin'. It's why I'm barely watching news any longer. Too little information for the amount of time to get it!
