Hi Mitra,

It started raining here about an hour or so ago and nothing all that dramatic but we do have a small chance of thunderstorms and OOO I'd love it if it happened!

Hi Mitra,

Given it rains every year there's no doubt within 3 years they'll have 3 years of rainfall.

We are possibly going to have rain on Sunday which is early in this region but to worry about upcoming rainfall before the rainy season starts is meaningless.

from u.s weather services
Says wet/snow storms pacific northwest/northern California November and December more than usual, then January onward dryer than normal. Hoping to build a good snow pack early in the season
Cold Northern Plains -- Cold heavy snow northeastern US -- Frost on oranges in Florida, Southwest mild warm winter ...
Let's see if they get it right this time ...

Hi Poppie,

Long term forecasts are rarely correct and it's been stated numerous times local weather forecasters don't know until the last 24 hours what a storm front may do.

I know they do care and they're doing the best the can with what they have to work with and I think they're doing a really good job with tornado warnings.

So I take it as it comes, make sure I have what I need on hand and then I'm ready for whatever shows up.

Not long ago I began looking at long term food stuffs from various vendors and discovered they are loaded with salt and items made with starches such as noodles and they're not healthy and so far I've found they are expensive. One could shop anywhere and pick up Mac & Cheese packages or something like that at a Dollar Store and set them aside, but the like kind products in long term storage sites want us to pay $3 to $5 for the same thing.

However as a matter of convenience purchasing in bulk for TP and Paper Towels delivered by UPS is a winner in bad weather, be it to hot or to cold.

I lived and worked (or commuted) in that area throughout
the 1970's before moving to San Jose and then Portland.
