This is sneaking up the hill in back of Lake Arrowhead where I lived during
high school. The old house is just a mile outside the voluntary evacuation
area as we speak. It's bone dry out on the back side of the mountain - has
been for years. And there's a whole FOREST full of dead pines from the
bark beetle and drought. I'd imaging they're going to do whatever it takes
to stop it from reaching the tree line.

We are even getting a lot of high smoke up here in
Tehachapi from this fire.
