Fire in my neighborhood of West Hills put out now, but five miles away is a big one in Calabasas. I got a robo-call from the City of Calabasas. Pretty big fire. Lots of kids from my son's school are being evacuated.

Is this in the "area" of that gas well north east of la that has been spewing methane and even airplanes can't fly over for fear of a spark and fire?

It is west of there by about 10 miles. All over now. But we've a long summer ahead.

In areas NOT around the houses where we have to keep it
cut, the wild grass is over 5 feet tall in some places.
It's gonna sucketh for fire season.
Last year, not too bad--very dry, no rain, but the
grass was real short and scrubby. This year, VERY tall
and think and now drying out.

oh my, having gone through that last year here, I know how scary it is, hope you have a plan dear even if you 'hopefully' don't have to use it. I had even packed up a bunch of boxes last year and took to a friends house until the danger was over...but impossible to do it all!...prayers going out for you, stay safe!...kay
