Boy, that'll clean out your sinuses :( I would think major headaches might be the result of breathing formaldehyde? Not sure what it does to your lung chemistry except it destroys or 'pickles' the endothelial layer of your mucosa. Good gawd, that's horrible. I feel so sorry for people who are stuck there. There won't be enough compensation for those who can't get away from this bad air, soon enough, to save their lungs. I've heard there are some horrible skin infections too, not sure how they're being caused. Anaerobic environments are not good for humans!

Formaldehyde occurs naturally in the environment. We ingest it in our food
and water. Formaldehyde is also produced naturally in the human body.
It's even included in some infant vaccines with no safety concerns.

It'sall a matter of amount.
Humans produce cholesterol too, and unlike formaldehyde need cholesterol in order to live. Our brains are made of cholesterol. But it can also cause severe problems.
It is the same for copper. It is necessary for survival but toxic in large amounts.
It is the same for many nutrients.
