Subject: The News....


..tells us that it is costing California a fortune to deal with the settling from the aquifer being drained. Over a year ago, in one post, I wondered how anyone could build on ground that was settling up to a foot a year. One can imagine entire towns crumbling, not to mention huge strips of the highway system collapsing.

Subject: I can't help....


...but think that much of the man-made extractions in all forms, from natural gas to oil are causing similar settling of the web of rock formations deep underground that support the living beings and their structures above ground.

the canals to carry the water down are collapsing and the well casings are above ground level now due to sinking ground .....bad all the way around....
