US Navy got a GOOD picture of the burn-off. The worst news is that the plume was simlulated by Cali's Diablo plant to hit Bay Area, smack on, March 16, 2011! We got a buttload of radioactive actinide isotopes on this day. Where were you in the Bay Area on March 16, 2011?

Hixon did a bang up job pulling the FIOA documents!

'Unfortunately it is still up to the public – We Who Get Dumped On – to force the issues, because no kind of nuke is ever likely to become honest enough about this ultimately dangerous technology to force any issues on their own. The primary game is and has always been information control – coverup and/or confusing gobbledigook to keep the people as ignorant as possible about the true dangers they face from the deployment of this technology just to boil some water. That’s never going to change.

What the people CAN do is simply put their considerable feet down and insist that this entire terminally foolish “Plutonium Economy” game be ended post haste. Everywhere. And recent indications from other countries who have committed to ending their reliance on nuclear generated electricity is a very hopeful sign in this direction. Nearly 8 months after the start of the Fukushima disaster, however, our Nuclear Regulatory Commission has firmly reverted right back into its industry-coddling and promotion role, as if the retest nuclear disaster our world has ever suffered had never occurred at all. Here is a current link about what’s happening that you may want to read…'

Hmm, let's start by not voting in anyone who wants to continue promoting nuclear energy technology as anything but lethal to life on the planet (oops, maybe we're too late). Given a top level nuclear kraken in charge, this will be difficult to do unless the top level realizes we're all dead very soon if we continue riding that nuclear pony into the sunset, without impeccable regulation and monitoring (impossible for humans to maintain, imho). Second, how about everyone promote the idea of a 'plutonium tax' as one enenews'r posted!

It is my sad observation that only when the effects of nuclear get up in everyone's personal face, will anyone get steamed about doing something about it. A few kids born witout brains, a few kids with leukemia, a few more breast, brain, lung cancers, oh well. Massive heart attacks, thyroid illness, local animals outside dying off, feeling sick after eating local produce or fish, early cancers and cataracts MIGHT just do the trick! Personally, I don't think any one so called 'leader' in charge should be let of the hook for not announcing California radioactive iodine to the 100th degree dose to infants, so at the least, they could've been kept inside. People in charge KNOW what radiation does. In fact it occurred to me after seeing all the different stories about area 51 that all those foetuses in tanks our our stupid experiments to see what rads do to genetics, along with human-animal hybridization. We have a fascination with DEATH but little fascination with LIFE at this crossroads in life on the planet. I'd even say we have become dehumanized and desensitized, excepting the few who huddle in groups, hoping for a better, brighter new day under the sun. I never used to believe in 'ya can't fix stupid' but now I'm a believer! It's true, 'YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID!' If people do not want to KNOW more, they make excuses to live life inside their own comfort zone, inside their own rationalizations of why they 'can't' speak up! I'm reminded of Malala's recent speech upon receiving the Nobel Peace Prize, when she said she had two options, one she could silently go about getting an education and probably be killed by the Taliban, at some point, or she could SPEAK UP and be killed at some point anyway. She chose to speak up. She certainly deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for what she's done in her life and her ability to communicate that, given a good probability that we'll be killed by (a choice between two evils, or) radiation (in this case), one way or the other, I choose and hope for others, to speak up about it- :) Her speech actually gave me hope about responding to other heinous and adverse situations. She is wise way beyond her years.

Science has turned on it's head by hiding behind the wishes of the PTB, with the less than covert defense that 'there is no direct evidence' of radiation ill effects to immunity and the propensity to acquire life-complicating health issues, when the evidence is everywhere for any fool to read about. There is a serious problem with functional illiteracy in our culture today!

Other articles on enenews indicate the amounts of radioactive iodine (and Strontium) that reached California and radiation on leafy vegetables in Florida much greater than seen on the West Coast. There was a plume from the first couple reactors exploding that went southward across L.A. and Texas and Florida, that carried alpha particles. My aunt, in Texas had cataracts starting but within six months, she couldn't see due to the cataracts worsening so suddenly. Personally, I think it's because of the radiation plume. If you were outside, in either the Northern or Southern Plumes in the first four months of the Fukushima NPP disaster, you got either a lot of alpha particles or fewer, although there's no such thing as a 'safe' amount of a few plutonium particles once inhaled or ingested. We all got a really solid horrendous egregious dose, continuing, with not one ongoing word about the hazards to our health. Incroyable!

Meanwhile, we've got our own issues in California, from same link!
'Bakersfield has been showing high counts for some time;
"Just over 100 miles west of downtown Bakersfield sits Pacific Gas and Electric Co.'s Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant. The plant is situated right next to two fault lines. Both faults are "strike slip faults," which are very common along the California's Central Coast. Two of these "strike slip faults" lie on the ocean floor near the nuclear power plant. The first, named the Shoreline Fault, is a mere 2,000 feet from Diablo Canyon's reactors at it's closest point."

Be safe out in the rain, everyone! Beware of those leafy greens in the next month that got a good downpour. Check out Enviroreporter's Michael Collins' video about increasing radiation in the U.S. It's on the rise and it ain't goin' anywhere fast. Phoenix, Bakersfield, San Leandro, and Colorado at elevation keep getting more for some reason but I have no doubt we're all getting 'more' as time goes by. Still not one word from a single 'presstitute'!
