Here we go. The lake is down 9.5 feet. Bone dry, heavy
vegetation, new (nouveau) "cabins" are packed in
especially on the main part of the South side of the
lake like sardines, amidst the dense forest. Expected
4th of July crowds will swell to 150-200k, fireworks
show is a MAJOR attraction, they are shot from a barge
in the center of the lake FYI, seats with a meal and
lakeside view going for 100 bucks, 25 will get you a
hot dog and standing room only, and all that basically
adds up to recipe for disaster, coupled with a normal
summer heat blast coming.

Of course, absolutely no open fires of any kind are
allowed, period, though gas/propane are okay, cigarette
butt tossers are recommended for immediate 911
referral, but honestly, the tourists may or may not
care, there were open fires last weekend by visitors.

Too many non local people, partiers and drinkers
galore, heat wave, major holiday coupled with bone
effin dry conditions, is a major disaster just waiting
to happen.

Just saying.
