Seems that any place you go in the world, there are issues with
nuclear radiation!

WOW! Read the article dated March 4, 2014 at the site CalCoastNews.com. Everyone living within 15 miles of the Diablo Canyon Nuclear site should be up in arms about the cancer findings.

Per the article, the cancer rates went from below the state's average to close to 7% above the state's average after the site went into service.

Now add that the big one is past due. Anyone on the west coast of California ought to be very, VERY worried about much worse radiation leaks and concer risks!

Great article, thanks! I love this part,

'The OFSP judged the risk to public health "weak", although SonntagsZeitung said that tests on the water table would begin next month.'

'"This will all come back to bite us and it is much more difficult to stay credible and win back the public's trust," Francois Bochud told Le Matin Dimanche.'

Dear Francois, this is not a reflection on your reputation. This is not a game. We know you would've covered it up if you could, whether you find something terrible about the locals health statistics and the radium or not. Fess up, swallow your pride, and tell the rest of your human fellowship, the truth, as best you can find out. After all, I'm sure Francois didn't put the dump there himself so he is absolved of blame. He'd better not protect the worms who did dump and hide it!

'In certain places, measurements of 300 microsieverts per hour were taken, more than 100 times the permitted amount for an old dump, the newspapers reported.'

I'll betcha our dump mSv standards are much higher than these. Individual exposure is all a matter of isotope and proximity and length of time. Radium is nasty stuff though- :( Madame Curie lost her hand from handling it and then her life.

Have you seen the latest about radiationnetwork and the monitor site just above Diablo NPP? No one knows what's going on! The monitor is right now 124 CPM. I hope they find out this guy's geiger got contaminated but it sure does make ya go HMMM while waiting for news. Anyone here in San Luis Obispo? Mostly the wind map shows the jetstream going right over Central California so maybe the last Fuku 'plosion in R4 and R2 plumage is in that stream? We shall see. It is a sustained reading so it's real, one way or the other, including equipment going blooey. If I lived in the area I would definitely be curtailing my outdoors activities, to be on the safe side. Watch the direction the wind goes from that area, at the link. It was going West to East, last time I checked.

One thing about Fuku is that I am glad as heck that all this news about different leakages and spews of ionizing radiation and subsequent decay blasts of various OTHER isotopes (a time and isotope type formula known for all decay chains) is OUT. At least that's a few worms running around, outside the 'can,' lol.
