Training thunderstorms hit Penn Yan in upstate NY Tuesday. The area was hit with over five inches of rain overnight, then another two inches Friday.

. At least a half-dozen roads in Penn Yan have been closed due to flooding. Closed roads include: East Elm Street and Seneca Street, both between Main Street and Central Avenue; Basin Street; Champlin Street; Roscoe Avenue; Glencoe Avenue; and Burns Terrace between East Elm and Court streets.
