The young man who decided to change from up front to the furthest back. The two recently engaged counselors sitting up front. The twins from here, forced to take separate buses. The one on the ill fated bus was just going to tag along, she hadn't been accepted to Humboldt but her sister had. The girl who backed out of going at the last second. All the children the first in their family to attend college. Our future gone in a second... |

| thanks, yes I have been following it on the news ...so tragic! and strange too....I had gone to Humboldt myself and it is a tight knit college and loved the smallness of it and the teachers,etc....one has to ask 'why' did this happen???....prayers been going out for them all .... |

3 of the students went to our school district. Go past one of them all the time, anyways we got our usual auto-dial call from the school district tonight, but this time it was the superintendent informing about the three local students, 1 at LA Sierra high and two from Notre Vista, no condition given. Stuff about crisis counselors etc. Etc. Unreal. |

These are two of the local kids. Very sad. Well it says unaccounted for. I doubt that means "lost". |

| Wife's coworker's cousin's friend was DOA in the crash. They are pretty devastated. All that talent and youth, gone in a flash. |

was reading the article last night. For us, it was a particularly disturbing story as one of our sons who is to graduate HS in May, was accepted at both Humbolt and LaVerne universities. He chose LaVerne and attended their "get to know us" weekend last weekend. One decision could have changed all our lives. Had he chose Humbolt, it could have been him going to their event instead. My heart goes out to all the victims and families of those injured and killed. |
