Subject: following the reactor melt downs ... things went from bad to worse |

"The president and co-founder of the Canadian Coalition for Nuclear Responsibility, Gordon Edwards, discussed the extent of the continued contamination during a radio interview with The Green Majority on 89.5 FM in Toronto on December 6, 2013. Edwards holds a Ph.D. in mathematics and has served as a nuclear consultant and testified as a nuclear expert in Canadian courts."
"Shockingly, Edwards stated, 'There are about 300 tons of contaminated water every day going into the Pacific Ocean underground. That's because the cores of the reactors have melted into the ground, and now the groundwater is flowing underneath the reactors and it's washing that radioactive material out into the Pacific Ocean at the rate of 300 tons per day.'"
"The water pumped in to cool the melted reactor cores then becomes contaminated, pumped out again and washed out into the ocean in volume. 'They have been pumping 400 tons of water from the surface down into the reactor cores and then pumping the contaminated water back up again,' Edwards added."
there is really going to be no end to this horrific nightmare
it's going to go on and on like this until we are all dead
or until we all wished we were dead
i think i knew that the first day

Well, they're not off the hook with *us* -- us 99% who know anything about their history. But nuclear energy and other huge energy corporations and defense contractors, food manufactures, etc. give $billions in dotations to buy politicians, and that's why GE-Hitachi (or Hitachi-GE in Japan) and many others are is off the hook (they probably were never near one). They gave a lot of $$$ to the Obama campaign, knowing they could help him see things their way -- and they were successful. They have proved him to be what I've long suspected -- a moderate (or even further right) republican who is so careless as to take his kids and wife to Hawaii so they can all come home with a certain glow... and you can bet they at GMO food, despite Michelle at one time pushing organic gardening.
