Just got this in an email today and even though we know the scenerio isn't good for anyone, it is not immediately as horrible as they made it sound...here is what I got, not my words but theirs........Kay FWIW............. -----------------------------------------------------
It is indeed 100% pure bullcrap. :-) Unit 3 has been steaming since July or longer. Nothing has changed in the reactor data for what that is worth. The outlet that started this rumor is some lunatic neo-nazi faux radio show in the US. We pulled reactor data this morning http://www.fukuleaks.org/web/?p=11990
Temps are steady and downward. Xenon is checked as an indicator of fission and is flat. There are some reports in here with links back to the original source of the information for unit 3, if you scroll back into the summer months the start of the steam issue should be documented. http://www.fukuleaks.org/web/?tag=unit-3 TEPCO's live web cam shows nothing catastrophic or weird. When I checked earlier the cranes were down and no work was going on. http://www.tepco.co.jp/nu/f1-np/camera/index-j.html

again ... if the temperature of the fuel was "thousands of degrees centigrade" prior to the detonation ... what are the chances that TEPCO has been able to bring that kind of situation under control ... though it's just my guess ... i'd suggest the chances are slim and none ... that fuel does not cool off and stay cool ... if it's not moderated then it continues to heat up on it's own ... just like when it initially lost it's cooling and caused the detonation ... again ... i'd suggest this is MORE disinformation ... following a very dry period of LITTLE information ... the Wikipedia "time-line" was last updated September, 2013 ... what does that tell you?

other fuku news on the site too...

>>" it is not immediately as horrible as they made it sound"<<
*immediately* being the key word...
half life of the radioactive spewing into the earth, oceans and sky... makes the whole thing a rather complicated cumulative disaster... that will linger for a long time to come.
Something tells me that we have not seen the worst of it yet... with all of the death and dying going on in the pacific, Fuku certainly has at least *something* to do with it.

There HAVE been numerous recent steam sightings from reactor #3. Tepco themselves have reported it. Most sites keep using the same photo from 2011. That is shoddy/lazy work. It does not take away from the fact that reactor#3 IS still in meltdown. Problem is, #3 used MOX (Mixed Oxide) fuel (Plutonium,) which is incredibly deadly and has a half life of BILLIONS of years..That's why were Fukued.

obvious censorship on CNN early this morning re "GRAY SMOKE" (March 21, 2011 at 15:30:05)
ever since i heard about the reactors at Fukushima Dai-ichi, i've been watching the cable news channels in the morning
but, this morning from about 7:40 am (ET), there was nothing on the Fukushima reactors on any of the channels :: CNN1, CNN2, CNBC, MSNBC, and FOX :: nothing :: all Libya coverage nothing about the reactors :: and i did cycle through the channels almost continuously while i had my morning coffee, so i doubt if i missed anything
then, at a little after 8:00 am (ET) on CNN2's Morning Express, Robin Meade began to say something about "grey smoke" coming from the spent fuel pool of No. 3 reactor :: my ears perked up
and then, as Meade was saying, "... the grey smoke was caused by ..." she was cut off just after she said, "caused by" :: momentary BLACK SCREEN :: and then Henry Winkler shilling for reverse mortgages
when Meade came back on the feed, it was as if nothing had happened :: she started immediately into more "news" about Libya
she was cut off in mid-sentence, so i never did get to hear about what the "grey smoke" rising from the spent fuel pool of Reactor No 3 was "CAUSED BY"
FLUSTERCLUCK :: did anyone else witness this FLUSTERCLUCK?

i followed the situation carefully for the first few months ... and when they began seeing black smoke ... the media shut-down on the story ... i WATCHED the morning person on CNN CUT-OFF when she mentioned the words "black smoke" ... and then when she ... Robin ... came back on the air ... there was nary a word about that "black smoke" or any other sentences on the topic ... i've maintained a considerable cache of information ... and i've NEVER seen that photograph

Which I assume is the same pic/discussion disputed in the OP. Buried in the comment section at ENEnews of this very discussion is a link to a German(?) site that has GIFs captured by Tepco's own cameras.(Showing steam and black smoke.) Problem is, one must spend HOURS, DAILY, sifting through the hundreds of comments at ENEnews, to even get a glimpse of information. This is the mother of all cover-ups.
