look up the causes for those symptoms in the animals...
they are caused by fungal, bacterial and parasitic infections that overwhelm ALL life forms when their systems become weakened through an environmental condition - or onslaught.
That many of these reports state that they do not know what is causing it all is bullshit.
they know.

My thoughts echo yours, but my pain lies in the future.
I am an uncle many times over, both actual,(my twin sisters children) and in name, I'm "uncle K*****" to probably 20 kids, all residing in California.
I recently had a phone conversation with my closest friend,a psychologist and new father,living in San Francisco.
We are best friends in the truest sense, he knows my greatest downfalls, secrets, fears, hopes, etc...
As I know his.
We help each other during difficult times.
Except now.
Now that he is a father, his views on truth have changed, there are some "truths" he cant bear.
Fuku is one of them.
Now, consider, He is a very bright person, his wife as well (she is an engineer) I cannot have a conversation with them about this subject.
Their minds simply won't go there,
How could you have an inner dialogue with yourself concerning your beautiful boys lack of a future...
You can't.
Although more affluent than me, they don't have the means to simply pack up and leave to a safer area.
(If there is such a place)
The proverbial "rock and a hard place".
We are all there.
The hardest place.
It sucks.
